Yes, for those who know them, you'll know that this is a BIG step for them. They planned on being in Sandy for the rest of their lives. Who would have ever thought that they would be the ones moving before us!
For those of you who don't know about my family, let me recap for you. My dad's an accountant who owned his own business. Recently, one of his clients, Neilson Construction, became so big that they would need a controller instead of an accountant to do their auditing, and taxes, and such. They are stationed in Huntington, UT.
They offered my dad the position and he took it. This relieves my dad of yearly tax seasons that are very hard and stressful. It also allows them to save up more $$ for retirement. The one condition was they move down there. It'd only make sense, right?

(Picture of the front of my Sandy, UT house...and my baby, the green Subaru)
They sold their house to a young LDS couple who want to start a family. Perfect house for the perfect couple. It's sad to see the house that I grew up in go though. My parent's house in Huntington is being built and will hopefully be done in time for Christmas! My dad is living in a two-bedroom apartment until the house it done. My mom will move down there permanently in early August.

(Backyard...Mom planned and Dad labored, but it looks awesome!)
My mom says the weirdest thing about this whole thing is having no one in the house but her. all of my siblings are now gone and she's alone at nights. Quite the change since there were 9 people living in that house once. How do you cook for 1 after cooking for 9 for so many years?!?

(here's a picture of us girls in the peach tree...I love all my sisters!)
We will miss our house, but are excited for my parents. I told them that I'll visit their new house if they get a boat! (since it's only 80 minutes from Lake Powell!) They just said, "We'll see." Which means...eventually!
