A Thanksgiving Project

Paper Plate Turkey

Supplies:

Two paper plates

Construction Paper of all sorts of colors

gift wrapping ribbon (red)

scissors

glue

tape

stapler

crayons or brown paint

Instructions:

• Color the back side of plate #1 brown. (either with crayons or paint...crayons are less messy)
• Cut out shapes for feathers (shaped like skinny footballs) making two sizes, 10 ea.
• Cut out feet and head (I drew my own)
• Glue smaller feathers to the inside of plate #1 (non-colored side)
• Glue larger feather to the back side of plate #2 and allow to dry before moving on.
• Staple plates together so that it's hallow inside
• Color eyes and beak on the head
• Cut a small slit in the bottom of the beak and insert curled ribbon...tape the back of it so the tape doesn't move
• Glue the head to the plates

VOILA!!!
